| Return from Fiji |
|
We returned from a few weeks holiday in Fiji on
Friday 15th June 2007 amidst a lot of unhappiness and
political unheaval at home due to the poor
Leadership of Voreqe Bainimarama who staged a coup
against the democratically elected govt. of Mr
Laisenia Qarase of the SDL party. On Friday also
Voreqe Bainimarama anounced the expulsion of Mr
Green the New Zeland Ambassador. Voreqe is so naive
and stupid he will now have to face the brunt of
this decision. I cry for my country Fiji when it
the grassroot people of Fiji who will lose thir
jobs in the tourism industry and other businesses
connected to trade with New Zealand.
Something has to give to change the leadership and
form of govt. in Fiji in the near future. Fiji
cannot continue to be governed by the stupid Voreqe
and his cronies. God please do something and fast
for my country Fiji.

Summer in Beijing |
|
Beijing is beautiful now with the flowers in
bloom and the green pine and palms put in place
by the landscapers. Under those shrubs are the
pansies, marigold and impatience in all different
colours. It is a sight to behold.
I also noticed that there is a lot of development
in the Hutong area with the old buildings being
renewed and tenants displaced to make way for the
new development of shops, art galleries, up-
market restaurants. In the Sanlitun area we see
shopping malls going up with the 3.3 Fashion Mall
completed and in use. The Sanlitun Lu (Bar Road)
is getting busy both day and night and the ground
level of the apartment buildings have been taken
up by shops and restaurants. There is a lot of
activities going on in Beijing in summer and the
residents and making good use of the pools in the
public gardens and nearby resorts with swimming
pools.
A lot of people are going away for the summer
holidays and will be back by the end of
September. This is to keep my friends posted of
the developments in Beijing. Cheers!!!

| Floral Art Basics |
|
Good morning all. Before we can forget Winter, we
are deep into the Spring season and enjoying the
flowers that have come up on the cherry trees
outside. Talking about flowers, the site at the
Laitai and Liangma Flower markets are a sight to
behold with the orchids, the roses, the peonies,
the zebras and the anthirium flowers neatly
arranged in each flower stall.
Once you learn about the basics of floral art,
you will love to explore the flower markets, pick
up a few flowers and leaves and then create a
floral design to your heart's content. You will
be saving a lot of money as compared to buying
flowers already arranged and the colours not to
your preference. Place your order now for a
brochure on Floral Art Basics for only US$20.00
on this website or on e-mail:
salote.lutu@gmail.com. It will be a worthy
investment on your part.
